M.Sc. Sem 1 / 2 – Practical List

  1. To determine the resonance frequency, quality factor, and impedance of a series LCR circuit.

  2. To determine the resonance frequency, quality factor, and impedance of a parallel LCR circuit.

  3. To determine the energy band gap of Germanium (OA79 diode) using a semiconductor diode.

  4. To determine the energy band gap of Silicon using the four-probe method.

  5. To determine the energy band gap of a semiconductor using the reverse saturation current method.

  6. To determine the energy band gap of Silicon using a semiconductor diode.

  7. To study the characteristics of a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR).

  8. To draw the characteristic curve of a Silicon-Controlled Rectifier (SCR) and find its firing voltage.

  9. To draw the characteristic curve of a Field Effect Transistor (FET) and determine its parameters/constants.

  10. To determine the specific charge (e/m) of an electron by Thomson method.

M.Sc. III Sem – Practical List

  1. To study the RS and JK flip-flop using logic gates.

  2. To study the shift registers.

  3. To study the combination and different types of logic gates.

  4. To study the binary counters.

  5. To Study the BCD Converter

  6. Study of Encoder Circuit and  Decoder Counter Circuit.

  7. To verify the truth table of De Morgan’s 1st and 2nd Theorem.

  8. To draw the logic circuit of XOR and XNOR gate and verify its truth table.

  9. Make OR, NOT, AND gate using NAND gate and verify its truth table.

  10. Make OR, NOT, AND gate using NOR gate and verify its truth table.

  11. Determine the wavelength of laser beam (light) using diffraction grating method.

  12. Determine the wavelength of He-Ne laser – Ruler method.

  13. Determine the thickness of a wire using He-Ne laser.

  14. determine the particle size using He Ne laser.
