  1. Disscus in brief the Basics postulates of Quantum Mechanics [ Photo Electric Effect, Black Body Radiation and related laws, Compton effect, De Broglie Hypothesis, wave particle duality, wave packet, Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, Schrodinger wave equation]
  2. What is Ehrenfest's theorem? state and prove it.
  3. Establish Equation of continuity.
  4. What is probability current density?
  5. Describe orthogonality of eigen functions.
  6. Write the properties of the wave function and explain probability, wave amplitude, and wave packet.
  7. Explain about expectation values and closer properties of eigen functions.
  8. Derive the  time dependent and time independent Schrodinger wave equations.
  9. Find the solution of the Schrödinger equation for a one-dimensional potential well/step/barrier.
  10. Write notes on tunneling effect through potential barrier.

Unit 2

  1. Write notes on Linear vector space and Hilbert space.
  2. Write notes on bra and ket notation for State vector.
  3. Describe unitary transform.
  4. What are creation and annihilation operators? Explain it.
  5. Explain matrices of x and p.
  6. Write notes on Schwartz inequality (Heisenberg's Uncertainty realation through operators).

Unit 3

  1. Write down the Schrodinger equation for Hydrogen atom and obtain it's solution.
  2. Write  the Schrodinger equation for a Square well potential and obtain it's solution.
  3. Write the Schrodinger equation for Linear harmonic oscillator and obtain it's solution
  4. Prove that the ground state energy of deuteron is 36 MeV.
  5. Write notes on application of the Schrodinger equation in atomic spectra and molecular spectra.
  6. Explain the nuclear state of deuteron.

Unit 4

  1. Describe Angular momentum in quantum Mechanics.
  2. Obtain the Eigen values and Eigen functions for L² and Lz.
  3. Describe the Commutation relations and obtain them for Lx, Ly and Lz.
  4. Explain the time independent perturbation theory for degenerate case.
  5. Explain the time independent perturbation theory for non degenerate case.
